Sgt. David Tinkorang, a culinary specialist assigned to Company D., 141st Military Intelligence Battalion, 300th Military Intelligence Brigade (Linguist), admires a photo of his mother and sister on his phone. The photo was taken at the Kofi Anna International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Accra, Ghana, July 21, 2018. Tinkorang’s mother, three uncles, and sister all live in Ghana. Tinkorang supported United Accord 2018 by translating for Akan-speaking Ghanaian Soldiers. He grew up in Akosombo, Ghana, about an hour from Accra where U.S. Army Africa and the Ghana Armed Forces co-hosted United Accord 2018. (U.S. Army photo by Capt. Daniel Parker)
