On July 29th, 2018 the 127th Wing Diversity Council hosted Dr. Guy Stern for a speaking engagement at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich. Dr. Stern spoke about his experience as a young man who fled the Nazi persecution of Jews in Germany during World War II. He later entered into the U.S. Army where he trained to become an interrogator for the U.S. Army Counterintelligence division to analyze and demoralize German forces. This Counterintelligence group became known as the “Ritchie Boys.” (U.S. Air Force Photo by Tech. Sgt. Rachel Barton)
