VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (July 23, 2018) Sailors from Naval Cargo Handling Battalion 1 use shipboard cranes to lower an Improved Navy Lighterage System beach module from the deck of the Military Sealift Command’s USNS Eugene A. Obregon (T-AK 3006) during the Naval Beach Group 2 led Trident Sun 18 exercise onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story. Trident Sun 18 is a Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) operation intended to provide training to reserve component personnel with regards to the in-stream offload of military vehicles and equipment.
