Engineers with Company A, 508th Brigade Special Troops Battalion rush to the aid of simulated causalities during a route clearance lane in the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif., Sept. 14. The night clearance lane tested the engineer’s ability to identify and interrogate potential improvised explosive devices, react to small arms fire and to conduct medical operations while navigating the simulated town.
