U.S. Marines with Headquarters & Service Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division wait to begin an improvised explosive device (IED) patrol training exercise aboard Fort Pickett, Va., Sept. 12, 2011. The Marines participated in the Counter IED Integration Cell exercise to prepare for an upcoming deployment. More than 900 Marines and sailors will take part in the Deployment for Training exercise at Fort Pickett, Sept. 6-23.
