Jessie Gour, of Columbia, S.C., banters with a soldier at Old Bill's dining facility, Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, Sept. 8. A volunteer with Operation Feeding Freedom, Gour and other Outback employees came to Afghanistan to feed and entertain service members currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The program began in 2002, where Outback fed more than 5,000 service members at Kandahar Airfield. This year, Outback donated more than $500,000 worth of food to soldiers at various forward operating bases in Afghanistan.
