BARGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (June 10, 2018) -- German Army Lt. Col. Jens Janis (left), liaison officer with Train, Advise and Assist Command-North, assigned to NATO's Resolute Support Mission, looks on as U.S. Army Spc. Luke Andrews, an infantryman assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) headquarters, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, fires the Heckler and Koch P8 German service pistol, June 10, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Janis instructed approximately 50 service members on the proper use of the P8 service pistol and the Heckler and Koch G36 rifle, providing the opportunity for NATO partners to earn the coveted Schutzenschur German marksmanship badge while deployed.
