BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (June 10, 2018) -- German Army Lt. Col. Jens Janis (right), liaison officer with Train, Advise and Assist Command-North, assigned to NATO's Resolute Support Mission, explains the proper grip and shooting techniques of the Heckler and Koch P8 German service pistol to U.S. Army Sgt. Amanda Luafulu, a training noncommissioned officer assigned to Battery B, 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, June 10. Janis instructed approximately 50 service members on the proper use of the P8 service pistol and the Heckler and Koch G36 rifle, providing the opportunity for NATO partners to earn the coveted Schutzenschur German marksmanship badge while deployed.
