Fifteen-year-old Amanda Schafers hands out small foam balls intended to symbolize the stresses of military teens at Waller Hall on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Aug. 18 during the Youth Resiliency Academy, an Army Community Service program started in May that addresses common teen struggles in day-long group sessions with new clusters of military adolescents each month.
