Kim Crosby, the site director for Families Overcoming Under Stress, an Army program that provides resiliency training to military families, writes on a dry-erase board some different characteristics that fall under three separate types of communication as military teens call them out at Waller Hall on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Aug. 18 during the Youth Resiliency Academy, an Army Community Service program started in May that addresses common teen struggles in day-long group sessions with new clusters of military adolescents each month.
