NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON (June 5, 2018) Capt. Dave Kurtz, executive officer, USS Nimitz (CVN 68), informs Chief Culinary Specialist Erick Vanderhorst, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, that he was selected for senior chief petty officer aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN 68), June 5, 2018. Nimitz is conducting a docking planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
