Steve Randolph, Woodland Park mayor, and David Buttery, city manager, applaud two companies of combat engineers from 4th Engineer Battalion after a casing ceremony at Fort Carson, Aug. 12, prior to the soldier's deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. The community leaders were presented the Army Corps of Engineers flag, which will fly at Lions Memorial Park, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 24 and state Route 67, said Randolph.
