Spc. Mainer Mateak, a supply clerk and unit armor with the 82nd Airborne Division's 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, receives a coin for excellence from Lt. Gen Frank Helmick, commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps. A native of Pohmpei, Micronesia, Mateak's hard work and dedication has kept the unit's arms room in good working order, and he has completing several flawless lateral transfers showing his attention to detail and desire to get jobs done on time. With a long history of supporting U.S. military operations in Iraq, the 2/82 and it's paratroopers are enabling the withdraw of U.S. military forces from Iraq.
