180524-N-TH560-033 SAN DIEGO (May 24, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Beau Benson, from La Crosse, Wisc., and Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Apprentice D’Andre Harris, from St. Petersburg, Fla., use needleguns to remove paint from a bulkhead aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) in support of ship preservation. Bonhomme Richard has recently completed its transition to San Diego as part of a homeport change where it is scheduled to undergo upgrades to operate the F-35B Lightning II.
