Motorcycles depart Selfridge Air National Guard Base the morning of July 30 as part of the first Motorcycle Mentorship Poker Run, sponsored by the 127th Wing Safety Office and the Detroit-Arsenal Safety Office. The event teamed up more experienced riders with those with fewer riding years under their belts. Here, bikers use hand signals in order to communicate with one another. The signals are similar to the ones used in military squad movement, such as a rider pointing his left hand and index finger up to communicate that he's taking the lead and other riders should form a single file.
