Members of DPAA render honors during a chain of custody event as a hearse, carrying the remains of U.S. Army Air Forces 2nd Lt. Clarence E. Allen who was recently identified, leaves the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) facility on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, May 18, 2018. Allen, a P-47 aircraft pilot with the 395th Fighter Squadron, was declared missing in action after engaging enemy aircraft during a dive-bombing mission near Aachen, Germany in October 1944. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech.
