COLUMBUS, Ga. (May 17, 2018) -- After being recognized for their work creating a learning garden with Freddie Stowers Elementary School at Fort Benning, Georgia, members of 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment; Dental Health Activity at Fort Benning; Kinetic Credit Union and WRBL pose for a group photo. The Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce held an evening gala May 10 in Columbus, Georgia, to recognize partnerships between Muscogee County School District schools and their community partners, which include military units from Fort Benning, Georgia. The Partners in Education (PIE) program’s purpose is to improve education by encouraging meaningful business and community involvement in local schools.
