U.S. Air Force pararescuemen assigned to the the 31st Rescue Squadron perform a hoist into an HH-60 Pave Hawk assigned to the 33rd Rescue Squadron May 16, 2018, during Exercise Balikatan at Clark Air Base, Philippines. Pararescuemen practiced skills, such as hoists, rappelling, ascending and descending from the HH-60 to maintain their proficiency. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18.
