    COMBAT OUTPOST SHIR GHAZAY, Helmand province, Afghanistan - Lance Cpl. Ronald Curaba, 20, a Coram, Long Island, N.Y. native and team leader with 81mm Mortar Platoon, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, surveys the area surrounding the city of Shir Ghazi for enemy forces through the scope of his M16 A4 Service Rifle during a patrol on July 25. Curaba has been in Afghanistan for approximately five months and has been in 15 combat actions during his deployment.
