Competitors in the Region 7 Best Warrior Competition fire M16A2 assault rifles as part of the Region 7 Best Warrior Competition May 10, 2018, at the National Rifle Association Whittington Center in Raton, N.M. During their day at the ranges, competitors fired several weapon systems at a variety of targets, participated in the “Chili Pepper Shoot”, endured an 11.2 mi ruck march through rolling hills and completed numerous essential warrior tasks.
