Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Smartwood, Navy diver assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 2, assists a diver with his dive helmet prior to dive operations from the Military Sealift Command rescue and salvage ship USNS Grasp. MDSU-2 and Navy archeologists, scientists, and historians are in the North Sea conducting diving operations verifying the sites of suspected shipwrecks.
