Staff. Sgt. Patti Lee-Smith runs on a treadmill at the Joint Force Headquarters building in Lincoln where she works as a contract specialist. While preparing for upcoming races, Lee-Smith, of David City, Nebraska, exercises six days a week, getting in mileage wherever she can. She is preparing to run her 25th half-marathon at the upcoming Lincoln National Guard Marathon and Half-Marathon taking place May 6 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lee-Smith, a logistics and contracting noncommissioned officer with the 1969th Contingency Contracting Team, is committed to serving others through the Nebraska Army National Guard; Project Purple, a non-profit focused on pancreatic cancer research; and other endeavors within her community.
