171207-N-NM917-114 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 7, 2017) - Sailors attached to the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), lower a stokes stretcher onto the deck during a Search and Rescue (SAR) certification. SAR swimmers play a key role in personnel safety and mission readiness of U.S. Naval Operations. Blue Ridge and her crew have now entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
