180426-N-RG482-152 THE MINCH (April 26, 2018) Damage Controlman 2nd Class Frederick Jensen reports the status of a simulated toxic gas leak during a "flying squad" drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) April 26, 2018. The ship's flying squad is a group of highly-trained first responders to emergencies such as fires and flooding. Ross is participating in Joint Warrior 18-1, a U.K.-led, multinational exercise that exercises interoperability and cooperation in all applicable warfare areas.
