180419-N-RI884-0183 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 19, 2018) F-35B Lightning II aircraft with the "Green Knights" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 (VMFA-121) fly over the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) following a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP) as part of a certification exercise (CERTEX). The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) and Amphibious Squadron 11 are conducting CERTEX as the final evaluation in a series of training exercises which ensures readiness for crisis response throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
