180417-N-FN963-0226 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 17, 2018) The Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG), comprised of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), left, amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), center, amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104), right, maneuver together as part of a coordinated formation. The Wasp ESG is on a scheduled deployment in the Indo-Pacific region to support training under the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Up-Gunned ESG concept and serve as a forward multi-mission asset for any type of contingency.
