Sergeant Gabriel E. Dominguez, senior drill instructor, Receiving Company, gives new recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, a contraband brief during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 16. At this time, the recruits are informed of all of the items they’ll need to discard before beginning training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate July 13.
