KADENA, Japan (April 10, 2018) Lt. j.g. John McDonald, assigned to the "Skinny Dragons" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, returns to the hangar following an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission aboard a P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft. The Skinny Dragons are based out of Whidbey island Wash., and are on a six-month deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations conducting missions and providing maritime domain awareness to support units throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
