U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Jason K. Jones, sergeant major of Task Force Southwest, hugs retired U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Hubert Gonzalez after learning of his experiences in Sangin District at Camp Shorab, Afghanistan, April 5, 2018. Gonzales was a part of 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment in 2011 when he was injured by an improvised explosive device in Sangin District. Gonzales returned to theater to find closure as a part of Operation Proper Exit.
