Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s Chief of Occupational Therapy and Installation Ergonomics Officer, Lt. Col. Colleen Daniels has participants of Fort Campbell’s Dental Activity keep their arms raised in the air for about two minutes to demonstrate how remaining in one position for a long period of time can cause muscle strain. Daniels spoke at the DENTAC’s Safety Stand Down, April 6 to share how ergonomics can reduce muscle strain and prevent injuries in their work center. April is National Occupational Therapy Month and unit training is just one of the many tasks Army OTs perform to help maintain Soldier readiness. U.S. Army photo by Maria Yager.
