Lt. Col. Chuck Masaracchia, commander of 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, held a meeting at Red Falcon headquarters, Camp Ramadi, Iraq, with Brig. Gen. Hamid Malik Jarad, Iraqi police commander of the Abu Risha Brigade, July 9. This was the first meeting between the commanders, who spent the afternoon discussing topics ranging from U.S. and Iraqi partnerships to their favorite sports. Translating the conversation was Saif Waththab Harba, Masaracchia's interpreter. Jarad commands four IP battalions, covering areas from Ramadi to Fallujah. Masaracchia is a native of New Orleans, La.
