Master Sgt. Joe Herrera and his wife Jenna, pause for a moment with their children 7-year-old McKinley and 5-year-old Kaliana. Kaliana has Spina Bifida, a defect that involves the incomplete development of the spinal cord. Kaliana has endured five surgeries thus far with Herrera having left Afghanistan two times on emergency leave to support his family.
