Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class Travis Ohr, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU-5), operates a rigid hull inflatable boat during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) drill with Force Reconnaissance Marines and British Royal Marines (BRM), March 23, 2018. U.S. Marines, BRMs and Sailors assigned to EODMU-5 conducted joint-combined training in order to develop shared standard-of-procedures in a VBSS environment to provide a more flexible and mission-ready capability to geographic combatant commanders in the Pacific. EODMU-5 is assigned to Commander, Task Force 75, the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and execution of coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
