A British Royal Marine (BRM) holds security aboard a rigid hull inflatable boat as fellow BRMs and a Force Reconnaissance Marine, assigned to Force Reconnaissance Company, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, board the Island-class patrol boat USCGC Washington (WPB 1331) during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) drill, March 23, 2018. U.S. Marines, BRMs and Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 5 conducted joint-combined training in order to develop shared standard-of-procedures in a VBSS environment to provide a more flexible and mission-ready capability to geographic combatant commanders in the Pacific.
