The C-130 has been used in missions of the International Security Assistance Force, Regional Command North, which is currently deployed in support of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, operating to reduce insurgency, support growth of the Afghan National Security Forces, and facilitate governance and socio-economic development.
