Thomas Herzberg, Project Coordinator for the German Development Cooperation, center speaks with Dr. Mikota Ulla, Director of Development from International Security Assistance Force, Regional Command North, left before a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new dormitory at the Teacher Training College in Mazar-e Sharif. The dormitory features full living facilities and enough space to house up to 300 male and female students. The new college is a beacon of hope for raising the quality of future education in Afghanistan. Its construction was made possible through the German Development Corporation with funding from the KfW World Bank Group, Federal Republic of Germany. The college and dormitory are only two of many projects supporting the transition of socio-economic development to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
