180302-N-XT183-063 NORFOLK, Va. (March 3, 2018) Sailors, dressed in firefighting personal protective equipment, wrap a pipe using the Emergency Water Activated Repair Patch during a general quarter (GQ) training drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). GQ drills are simulated scenario base casualties designed to provide Sailors with hands-on experience in fire fighting, pipe patching, structural integrity and other shipboard casualties.
