    Lt. Col. Carrie I. Baker (left), outgoing commander of the 2nd Battalion, 189th Regiment, Oklahoma Regional Training Institute (OKRTI) is congratulated for a job well done by Col. Chuck Booze, commander of the Regional Training Institute. The 2nd battalion conducted a change of command on March 3, 2018, at Camp Gruber Training Center, located near Braggs, Oklahoma. Baker, who will retire from the Oklahoma Army National Guard this spring, was replaced by Lt. Col. Kenneth Mitchell.
    Baker began her military career as a single channel radio operator in 1990 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, then moved to Oklahoma and was commission in 1997 through the State Officer Candidate School at the OKRTI.
