A person in what appears to be military camouflage uniform and helmet is examining a document or map in near-total darkness. A small light source, likely a flashlight or tactical light, illuminates the paper from below, casting a warm orange glow on the individual's hands and face. The surrounding environment is almost entirely dark, suggesting a nighttime field operation.

The judges, of this year’s Fuerzas Comando competition, accumulate the scores during the sniper night shooting event June 18. The event forced two-man sniper teams to prove their ability by engaging five targets from varying distances of 200 to 500 meters. Fuerzas Comando, which was established in 2004, is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored special operations skills competition and senior leader seminar which is conducted annually in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
