A U.S. Army Paratrooper assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, employs a radio after landing from a night, combat-equipped parachute jump as part of the Division Readiness Exercise held on Fort Bragg, N.C., Feb. 9, 2018. The exercise validated the Division's ability to deploy a brigade combat team with attached enablers on short notice. The DRE began with an out load of thousands of pieces of equipment, followed by a joint forcible entry operation onto a contested airfield and concluded with air assault missions to seize enemy-occupied urban strongholds.
