Jason Johnston, contracting officer for Mobile District, was recognized on February 10, 2018 by Recovery Field Office commander Lt. Col. Roberto Solorzano for his work while deployed to Puerto Rico for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)Hurricane Maria/Hurricane Irma response. Following federally declared disasters, USACE relies heavily on contracted services to be able to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency, so Jason and other contracting specialists play an important role in finding companies that can provide them.
