(SAN DIEGO) Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG104), along with USS Dewey (DDG 105), departed Naval Base San Diego for a scheduled deployment to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific Region, Feb. 6. Dewey and Sterett will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group deployment in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
