    U.S. Navy Seabees with Underwater Construction Team 2 (UCT 2) Construction Diving Detachment Bravo (CDDB), prepare to enter the water at Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS) to connect rigging to submerged steel piles on January 24, 2018. CDDB used various underwater demolition techniques including underwater cutting, explosives, and lift bags to remove hazards to navigation from Sasebo's harbor. CDDB is on the first stop of their six-month deployment where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
