U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Jan. 29, 2018) The French Fusiliers Marines and Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC ) Marines work together to clear a room during a bilateral training exercise while deployed aboard LHD Tonnerre (L9014). Tonnerre, with embarked Marines and Sailors from Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51, 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade and SPMAGTF-CR-CC, is conducting maritime security operations within the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure regional stability, freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce.
