U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Jan. 29, 2018) The French Fusiliers Marines and Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC) Marines prepare to conduct room clearing training while aboard LHD Tonnerre (L9014). Tonnerre, with embarked Marines and Sailors from Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51, 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade and SPMAGTF-CR-CC, is conducting maritime security operations within the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure regional stability, freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce.
