CULEBRA, Puerto Rico, December 2, 2017 – Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) employee works to install a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe to protect the cables for the new power generators installed in Culebra. Since Hurricane Irma, Culebra lost its connection to the Puerto Rico power grid, which is the islands’ exclusive source of electricity. The generators were delivered by FEMA and USACE.
