U.S Army Staff Sgt. Mychal Sexton assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) conduct Jump Master Personnel Inspections (JMPI) on Lt. Col. Ryan Armstrong, Battalion Commander of 1-1 SFG, during the Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces (JGSDF) annual new years jump ceremony at Narashino Drop Zone, Narashino, Japan, Jan. 12, 2018. The jump ceremony is an annual event which is conducted as a rite of passage to ensure the soldiers of 1st Airborne Brigade conduct safe airborne operations throughout the year, and also to enhance their responsibilities and espirit de corp.
