Soldiers from the California National Guard's 1114th Composite Truck Company talk to a paramedic staged at Birnam Wood Golf Club in Montecito, California, Jan. 11, 2018. Deep mud on city roadways has left some neighborhoods -- including the golf club -- cut off from critical services, and residents who sheltered in place during a storm earlier in the week are needing to leave their homes. Cal Guard high water vehicles helped transport residents from the club to a drop off point where a shuttle bus would take them to an evacuation center.
