Photos of 1st Lt. Bill Moore, a fighter pilot assigned to the 339th Fighter Group, Fowlmere, England, and other prisoners of war from Stalag Luft 1, Barth, Germany. Moore was shot down over Germany on Sept. 13, 1944, and held as a POW until the war in Europe ended and the camp was liberated by the Russians in May, 1945. (Photo courtesy of Linda Moore)
