Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commanding general and chief of engineers, tours USACE operations throughout Puerto Rico on Dec. 21, 2017. During the trip, Semonite shared words with personnel working away from home during the holidays, and recognized their work undertaking a massive recovery effort in the wake of hurricane Maria. “We knew it’d be a tough job,” Semonite said. “That’s why they asked the Corps of Engineers to do it.”
